Hi, I’m Shantiana McNeal, the heart and lens behind Capturing Beauty From Ashes.

This journey began in one of the most difficult seasons of my life — during the pandemic of 2020. In a time when the world felt heavy and hope seemed distant, God placed a desire in my heart to look for the light that still remained. The name Capturing Beauty From Ashes comes from Isaiah 61:3, a reminder that He can bring beauty, joy, and purpose out of even the hardest moments.

Through photography, I strive to reflect that truth — that there is always beauty to be found, even in the midst of brokenness. Whether I’m capturing portraits, families, or personal stories, my goal is to create images that speak life, warmth, and hope.

Each session is more than just a photo opportunity; it’s a celebration of resilience, love, and the light that still shines through.
